FIU Pre-check

The documents are translated into English and the copies are notarized. Then they fill out the government forms.
At this stage, the investor pays a Due Diligence fee of $8,500.
Lawyers send the investor’s documents to the Citizenship by Investment Department (CBIU). -
Preliminary approval. After reviewing the CBIU’s application, a Due Diligence check will be conducted.
If the application is approved, the government will issue a “pre-approval” letter. It usually takes about 3-4 months, but it can vary. -
Fulfillment of the investment condition. Once you receive the approval letter, you will need to complete your chosen investment option within 30 days.

Certificate of registration. After verifying the investment, the CBIU sends the applicant a certificate of registration confirming the citizenship of Antigua and Barbuda.
